These flashing dots enable you to eat the floating colored creatures known as Ghosts (your dangerous little opponents) that turn blue for a few seconds. This is only for a limited time and you need to be quick. When the colourful little creatures are not blue, avoid them at all costs. You lose a life every time they catch you.
